What's the difference between hard and soft landscaping?
Hard landscaping covers all the structural, built elements of a garden — paving, walling, decking, steps, drainage, and structures. Soft landscaping is the planting — plants, trees, hedging, and turf. Most garden projects involve both, and we handle the full scope.
Can you do planting without a full garden redesign?
Absolutely. We regularly carry out standalone planting projects — whether it’s refreshing tired borders, adding screening for privacy, planting a new hedge, or installing a complete planting scheme into an existing garden.
When is the best time to plant?
It depends on what’s being planted. Many shrubs and herbaceous plants are best planted in autumn or spring, while bare root trees and hedging are planted during the dormant season (November to March). Container-grown plants can go in at most times of year with the right aftercare. We’ll advise on the best timing for your project.
Do you provide aftercare advice?
Yes. We’ll talk you through how to look after your garden once the project is complete. If you have any questions down the line, we’re just a phone call away.
Do you source the plants yourselves?
We do. As a DEFRA-registered operator, all our plants are fully traceable and supplied with plant passports. We source from trusted nurseries and growers, selecting the best quality specimens for your garden.
